PLDT and Globe DSL Subscribers

What is your connection speed and how is it? I've been using PLDT's dsl connection for almost 4 years now and I haven't experienced any HUGE problems with it. Tech support is great, too. What I love about PLDT is their constant upgrade in speed. I'm currently using a 2mbps connection now (business package) at home. How about you guys?

PLDT business package do have great service. I have a friend how runs an internet cafe. They transfered to a different location and PLDT only took a few days to reconnect them. But if you apply for a residential one, you'll just have a slow service, poor connection and a lot more. My other friend have a residential PLDT DSL and he always complain that every 15 mins his connection restarts. I did try to apply to PLDT DSL last year and after a month all I got are promises that we will have an internet in two days, until I got feed up, wrote a letter and told them I no longer want their service and even that took them half of my day to cancel it. PLDT is just a huge problem in applying for a connection, in their service and even in cancellations. I give them a big zero in their rating, no word of honor and no professionalism. I now have mydestiny. my connection can go up to 2.5 mbps in a good day and if I have any problem just fix it within two days.

I got my line connected yesterday. It is really fast now and so fat I have no complaint. Yesterday I only experience a downtime for about an hour since they just installed the modem. But after an hour it just came back and was working ok. I am receiving 10mbps speed since I am using USB connection but they say that if I add a ethernet lan it could go as fast as 100mbps.

We've applied for PLDT DSL since it is their promo, the 888. They said that we will have our DSL connected after 2 weeks and it takes 1 month before they called us. SO we waited in the after because they called in the morning and ask about the lan card thing if we have, so we said yes and then in the afternoon they called up again and told us that the 888 is not available, grrr... I told my MIL that even if I pay P1000 a month its ok because I really need a fast connection when I am doing my online job. We only have 1 phone at home and I can't use it in the day because my MIL uses it for her own business. So PLDT offered 999 plan included in our bill up until now we haven't heard any news from them. They are so mean and poor service! Considering that we usually spend more than P2000 for our monthly bills in phone! They should atleast provide us with good service, the agents don't even have fixed informations!

I will have my Globe DSL service soon. I will post again here when I have the connection. I haven't had the chance to experience PLDT since their customer service did asks so many questions and the fees they were asking were far more costly than when I applied for Globelines they only ask for my ID and 500 advance payment. Plus I have to sign their contract. My line got ready for almost 2 days the only problem was that there was nobody at home to connect the line. In PLDT it doesn't happen like that.
