Quite honestly, the avatars have no impact on whether or not I respond to a discussion. What makes me respond to a discussion is if I find it interesting. I can't say the same for others, though. That's just me. Of course, I suppose some avatars stand out a little more than others (like the generic one), but it still doesn't make a difference on whether or not I respond.

Thats interesting, sometimes I pass up the urge to respond if I am not that keen on the avatar. Pretty silly realy I suppose, but hey thats just me.
