How far can you go solo?

I started this game weeks ago and I'm hooked. I quit FFXI because the game was too difficult to continue. The main reason for the difficulty was depending on others for help finishing the missions and quests. So with WOW I plan on staying solo, never to join any guild and and very rarely, if ever, join pt's. So how far could I go if I take the loner route?

You can go solo up to level 60. Did it with my Tauren Druid with a couple of respecs. I went Feral all the way up to 60. But to get a very good gear (ie Tier 0 to Tier 3 full set gear) you'd have to join a group or better yet a guild.
The current patch now eliminated the need for grouping and gulding. You can now get a full epic battleground gear just by joining the battlegrounds (PvP). Very enjoyable and the rewards are promising.
