THE SECRET HISTORY - DONNA TARTT - BEST BOOK

This is the best book I've read in a long, long time and I'd sure like to know if anybody who feels the same has any good reading suggestions. I've been disappointed by so many supposedly great best sellers that I steered clear of this one for a long time. I really don't enjoy Cornwell, Grisham & the gang that much but this was different. This book is not only mesmerizing but it's literature....A book that can be re-read even. I usually stick to Brit writers (Amis, McEwan etc) but I'd really enjoy finding more by American writers like this one. I already have a copy of The Little Friend to read over the holidays but would appreciate any info on other books recommended by Donna Tartt admirers.
