I broke my butt last night! Seriously! Have you ever broken your butt???

Last night I was walking down my stairs with some bags in my hands. Well, I lost my balance because the bag in front of my was heavier than I thought. Once I realized I was about to fall forward head first, I reacted by throwing my weight backwards. Well, I didn't break my neck going head first. Instead, I hit the stairs the wrong way and cracked my sacrum (back of the pelvis). In other words, I broke my butt bone! ha ha So here I lay on my side all day and will be here for the next couple of weeks.
Have any of you broken your butt or pelvic bone? LOL
Strange question I know, but I don't want to feel alone in this.:)

I am so sorry that this happened to you. But it could have been worse. I have brused my tailbone before and that hurts enough. I can't imagine how you feel. Just don't ask anyone if they want to kiss your boo boo.lol

I keep remembering a show, I think it was the worlds funniest video one that Bob Sacket hosted, where a little girl fell on her butt and her dad asked if she was ok and she said in a cute little voice, "Wanna kiss my boo boo". Now I can't get that out of my head.lol

ha ha I totally forgot about that! I have seen that episode. She was so cute!!! I can totally hear her sweet little voice asking her daddy if he wanted to kiss it. ha ha

Sorry to hear about your sit-uation. You are lucky that you didn't break more falling down on the stairs.
I have never broke my butt, but a guy I know, his wife broke his when she fell off a horse.
I hope that you get better soon... make sure those kids of yours take care of you.

My das being so daughter is being so wonderful and helping! She came in this morning asking if she could make me some breakfast. She is a big sweetie.
Also, since I have the cable, tv, DVR, DVD, and Playstation 2 in my room, the rest of the kids seem to be hanging out here with me. :)
And I am very very grateful for not breaking anything more. I could be laying in a hospital instead. Yuck. LOL

I have never broken my butt before and this is the first time that I have heard of anyone breaking their butt. It must really hurt a lot, especially when you sleep. What did the doctor or medics do to help you? I hope that you will be okay and that it will heal quickly. Glad that you did not break your neck or anything more serious.

I was advised that if it gets any worse, to go see a doctor. Nerve damage can take several days to show and then if that happens, I will have to be made immobile. So, to make sure all is well and no serious unwanted results happen, I have to stay in bed. grrrr I hate staying in bed. LOL But at least I have a laptop and ya'll to keep me company. :)
Your very right. I told my partner the same thing. Even though I am in a lot of pain and can hardly move, I am grateful that I didn't fall forward and break my neck!!!!
Always look to the brighter side, right? That is what my father thought me! :)
Oh! And I slept on my side last night without the problem of rolling to my back. I guess even in my sleep I realize how much it hurts. :) But I did wake up with my side hurting from not moving all night. ha ha

I broke my coccyx bone many years ago. My job was a sit down job. I had to stand for 3 days because it hurt too much to sit. I couldn't climb stairs because of the pain. Years later I hear of a donut cushion. It has a cut out in the center. Wish I knew about it then.

My mother broke her butt one time. I remember when we had to ride in the car she had a butt pillow ( a donut pillow), my step-father would always say "BUTT UP" when we had to go over railroad tracks or anything that would jar her. It took a long time for that heal. It will stay sensitive. I am sorry to hear this. I hope you heal quickly and painlessly.;l

So sorry to hear it, hon!! I bruised my spine when I was a teenager. I was in bed for a week. It sucked, royally.

no way still with me is not happen this type of accident and i pray to god that nothing else will happen with me which may be give me some problem and i will also suggest to you that do everything with alert and be secure ok.

OUCH, that must hurt. Honestly I cant say that I have broke my but bone. Actually now that I think about it I have never broken any bone. I have sprained my ankle, and my knee cap pops put of place, and my hips pop out of there sockets but never broken any bone before.
Watch now that I said that I am going to break something. LOL Hey its all good.
I hope you have a speedy recovery. I will be sending you some healing energy.

I tried to get up and do some things since it was not hurting as bad. But, now I am in a lot of pain.
My hips and shoulder pop out from time to time too. It can be painful also for a few days. So I know how you feel when that happens.
Oh! And if you haven't already...knock on wood. LOL

Sorry to hear that you are hurting badly, and can't sit properly. when will you get it over ? i hope you will be fine later. you don't have happy time for Christmas. you stay in bed most of the time, don't you? some one has to take care of you when you need some thing.

I have never broke my butt but I felt like it once. I was sledding while I was a teenager and hit a rock that was cover in snow directly on my tailbone. I was deep in the woods and my boyfriend at the time had to carry me out of the woods cause i couldn't walk. I thought I was going to die.
