i spend a lot of time on the internet and watch a lot zone reality! i found out that we have a lot of things that are different i name some of them: when you go into a house your standing right in the livingroom! most of us have a smal entrance before you are standing in the livingroom! you have independance day and holloween. we have sintmaarten on 11 nov.(all the young ones go with a lampion with a light in it singing by the doors to get candy in normal dresses) and we have sinterklaas on 5 dec.(looks like santa) all the children get presents on 5 december. this man has also a knight called zwarte piet. your supermarket is 10 times bigger than ours! can you name one, or don't you even know what Holland is?

One big difference that I notice about the Netherlands is that so much of your country is below sea level; even so, the Netherlands very rarely has disasterous floods. I think that the reason for this is that your country has very good experts on preventing floods. we need some of your experts to come over here and help design new levies for New Orleans so that New Orleans will not have another terrible flood.

Well if we r simply pointing out the differences there are so many. 1. The culture 2. The language 3. Most Imp You people can trace ur history to circa 2000 b.c whereas Americans In that field can only be considered as an Upstart. 4. The traffic of ships in Rotterdam and Amsterdam is Simply unmatched. 5. You People were ,If I,m mot much mistaken were one of the first sea - faring people. 6. Not to mention your football team and the legends you people have produced in this royal game what with Cryuff and Gullit and Van Bastan

As far as I know your beautiful country the Netherlands is several meters below sea level than the United States. That makes a pretty good difference.

it's a trivial difference but in America we have the Atlantic Ocean on the right, you have it on the left.

Hey, are you referring to the American culture between Netherland Culture or you are referring to America itself as a place? One for sure is America is a large country compared to Netherlands and a different culture too i guess. I've never been to Netherlands, do you have the same lifestyle with the Amish community?

hi, i mean everything you can think off! the lifestyle of the Amish? guess not, i've only seen movies and they have no phones, tv and stuff. we live almost the same as the Americans, only everything is smaller! our highest tower has only about 20 floors( don't know exactly) and one thing is for sure, you speak better English than i do! hope i don't make too many mistakes!

My husband is from Holland. He tells me how different the lifestyle is here. The towns are smaller there. You can ride your bike to a store and do your shopping. He tells me about how wonderful the outdoor market is. We have them here, but not in the town in which we live. They call ours flea markets. They don't sell as many things as the markets in Holland.

I am from Sri Lanka and the main difference between America and Netherlands is the in Netherlands there is a good part of the country below sea level. But in America every part of the country is above sea level (correct me if I am wrong). The other difference is we have people from Netherlands who are permanent citizens here for centuries, we call them Burghers. They are beutiful people. The girls are so pretty and the men are also handsome. But we don't have Americans. They never came here. In fact our coutry was ruled by Holland for some time. We even have a song called "Purutu Greesi Karaya, Rataval Allana Sooraya...". (The Hollanders are clever at conquering countries). Then we have songs infulense by Hollanders. We call them Baila, or Kafferingna. Some Sinhala words are also from Holland, Kuruse is cross and Konthe is rosary.
