I wish some people would think before they act

So I bid on something on eBay and won (this was last night). This morning, I checked my email and one of the first messages I saw was from someone else who had bid on the item, saying that I "stole" the item from him/her and that it was going to be a Christmas present. The message ended with "BAH HUMBUG!" Said item is in demand right now BUT there are and have been plenty of it available on eBay (and in some cases, for lower prices), which I have told this person in a responding message. As I also said, you shouldn't depend on just one auction for a present, because I sure didn't (I lost several auctions for the item before I won). Normally, I would just shrug it off as sour grapes, but that was a nasty message to get on the morning of my birthday (I'm 21 today)...

Ugh. Yeah some people are just ridiculous and mean. People should try harder to see things from the others perspective before lashing out like that. I'm sorry and hope you had a nice birthday anyway.

Yeah, that was really rude of them to email you. It's an auction. You bid more or you lose. They are a loser, apparently in more way than one. Have a wonderful happy birthday!

Ohh! You got a Nasty Gram! I laugh when people do this to me. If they wanted it bad enough then they should have bid higher. And their gift would have been late anyways - so why don't they just bid on another? I admit I've yelled at my computer screen when I got outbid on something I wanted - but never emailed the people! I try to snipe in the last few seconds.

First off, happy birthday! What a disgrace, though! That person needs to take up Manners 101. You were right in expressing your side because if you didn't, you would be giving that person the benefit of believing that he/she is right.

Just one of the things you have to put up with on eBay. Best to just ignore people like that.
