I don't buy anything on ebay. I don't think it's safe enough. I had an account and just recently it told me I bought something I didn't buy. Luckily Ebay admins. noticed that the account hasn't been accessed in months and responded to my complain fast.

Well, actually ebay and paypal is very safe and I have never had any problems at all with security, but you have to be very careful not to respond to any email that says its from ebay, especially if they are asking you to log on in the body of the email. Ebay will never ask you for your username and password directly. They will tell you to close your browser and reopen it then type in ebay.com in you address bar and then they will only communicate to you thru "my messages" in the "my ebay" window. What you experienced was a "spoof/phising email" someone is trying to trick you into entering you username and password thru their email so they can get access to your account, I get these all the time, just delete them and if you have any question about your account just go directly to your messages in ebay itself. You can also forward any questionable email to spoof@ebay.com and they will investigate the email and send you a reply as to what they found out. I've bought and sold on eBay for years. At the present time, I'm mainly buying makeup (so much cheaper for new-in-box items), perfume and gifts for others. If I can't find it anywhere else, I can usually find it at eBay. Last year I bought about 75 DVDs in a lot for roughly $2 each. That was great to get that many for such a small price. I gave some to my grandchildren and kept the rest. I have an address label on them for when I loan them out...that way they find their way back to me.

All of the above. I love ebay and have had very few problems with it. Much of the stuff i am trying to get rid of isn't selling though.

I buy a variety on ebay. Gifts for others during the holidays. Movies, clothing, craft products, computer supplies, cellphones, books..pretty much you name it I buy it there.

There are a lot of people who do business on ebay. I myself buy and sell on ebay and i dont really have specifics on what i buy, i just search for some items that i can find more savings than buying a new one. So i search those items on ebay. If i find one i bid on it and i maintain a standard on bidding so i research for the new original price for the item then check on ebay prices.

Wouldn't it be great to find that one thing that everyone wanted and start selling it on ebay - yes I'm dreaming I guess.
I buy and sell randomly also, no specific items really.
I tried selling dvds but there are alot of scammers selling them too that sell copies or junk dvds, they undercut everyone on prices and get away with it somehow or they have their friends bidding up an item.

I buy almost everything on Ebay. Recently I've bought toys for my parrot, bedding for my ferrets, and toys/clothes for my nephew. I am a seller there, so I feel good when I shop there too.

I buy on ebay, not often, but I do. I would basically buy anything except very expensive stuffs like car, jewlary, and computer... I usually just buy stuffs that I won't feel really bad if I got cheated, like clothes and books.

I purchase orchids on ebay as well as other house plants. Before going out to WalMart or other shopping I check to see if the items I need might be up for sale on ebay and often find myself purchasing the items at a much lower cost than on the outside market. I have always been pleased with the quality and expeditious response from the sellers.

I buy and sell on eBay regularly. They have a ton of video game related stuff you can't find anywhere else. My kids are totally into plush toys and other things. I have bought clothes, boots, electronics and other stuff. I have sold car related stuff, clothes, electronics, etc. Last year I was totally addicted. This year I use it to find hard to find stuff. You can get some good stuff and you can get scammed. You just need to be careful.

I buy on Ebay. If there is something I find that I need, I will check Ebay prices first, to see if I can get a good deal versus going to a store. I have bought clothing, shoes, soap, candles, pet supplies, a car, and many other things! Most all of my experiences have been excellent.

I have found hard to find items on eBay. I bought my digital camera from a seller on eBay, my memory card as well, and many other things I get from there too.
I also try to sell things too, but don't like the fees. Not much you can do about that though.

I buy all kinds of stuff on ebay, I also sell on ebay. I have bought gifts for my kids. Home decor, such as mirrors and wall hangings. I have also bought movies and CD's off of ebay.

I've bought and sold on ebay for several years. And I've bought just about everything under the sun there and sold just about as much of a variety. I mostly buy genealogy books, rare video games and clothing from there.

I buy on ebay - but I wouldn't recomend buying clothes, because you never know how they are going to fit you until you try them on. I usually buy shoes (be careful with that as well), books, and I sell stuff too!!

I have purchased so may things from ebay. Electronics, perfume, new shoes, new clothing, ipods. You name it. I as searching on ebay now for some perfume for me and spiderman merchandise for my 4 year old.
