Silent Hill and other horror movies

So, I saw the movie "Silent Hill" tonight. It's my new favorite horror film. Awesome. Very good, for a video game translation for sure. Okay, whether or not you saw or liked this movie, what are some must see horror movies?

I actually saw the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre last night, and I have to say that it was pretty good on the gruesome factor. One of my favorite new horror flicks is "High Tension" (also known as Haute Tension). It starts out a little dry because it is a foreign film, but then it really picks up. When I first watched the movie, the first like 15 minutes I thought it was going to be another attempt at lame horror. However, once it started moving it was quite absorbing because of the psychological aspect that was woven into the horror that was unfolding. There is also a pretty good gore factor in the movie, which is truly lacking in many of todays horror movies. Most horror movies today will build you up to the immediate horror but not show you it, and this movie and the new Texas Chainsaw don't pause at the gore.
