Friends are people who know everything about you and love you anyway. I have so many friends. Those that are people I have known since childhood, those that I have met by chance through work or other friends or acquaintances, and those I have met on the internet. I hold my friendships dear to my heart.
What does it mean when you say you are a good friend? I believe that it is being there for a person. Offering a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen. You are the one person that another can trust with information and know that when the tell you something in confidence, you will not repeat it to another.
How do you choose a "best friend"? What makes you want to say that only one person in your life is your "best friend"? My sister has become my "best friend". Over the years she has been the one person that has stood by me. We haven't always agreed on things. You don't need to always agree. I know that I can confide in my sister and it will go no further. She loves me unconditionally. That is what true friendship is.

I like this. So, I just wanna share with everyone...
Friends are like television. Some are like PBS and always asking for money. Others like the news, with sad tales to tell everyday, some are like that one station with the foreign language; you don't understand a word of it but you listen and watch anyway. After then there are the ones like the commercials, always changes, ever so annoying and only seem there when you are bored. But every once in a while you meet someone who's like a really good movie of the week or that one TV show you hardly ever get to see anymore because you're so busy. Lesson is, hold on to the friends you care about and since you don't have a remote control to mute someone or just change the channel, pick your friends carefully.

I don't have a 'best friend'. I do have good friends. I feel like having someone labelled as a best friend, keeps new friends out of the mix.
I remember an old song from Girl Scouts... "make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold."
I wouldn't give up my good friends for anything. But I'm glad I was open as recently I've made some new friends that I think just might be sterling silver.
I think it was Mark Twain that said you are lucky if you have one or two really good friends in your lifetime. I am very blessed friendwise. I have had good friends, and have good friends now.

Friends are people you meet that you can have a good time with. They are people who listen when you need it. They are people who will always be there for you when times are tough and vice versa. I have plenty of friends, but only 1 best friend. I know even though we have had our differences she will always be there for me. She always listens even though she may not agree. My best friend is someone I would trust my life with. We started out being friends at the age of 5 and over the yrs. our friendship has grown. Now we live in different states and not a day hardly goes by that we don't talk on the phone. I don't know what I would do without her.

Friends are hard to come by. My friends I had in high school I no longer see we all just drifted apart. I always say I have to look up so and so but never do.Then I think I wander if we could be friends again because our lives are so different now. I have ony two friends that I can consider real friends. Yes friends you should hold dear to your heart.

This is the same for me. I do not attend my class reunions. Why should I. Many of the people that I graduated with still live in town. I do not socialize with them normally, why pay money to sit for a few hours to talk with people that you no longer talk to.

Friends are jewels. They put smiles and laughters in your face. And they also make you upset at some point. Do you think it is a good thing to tell your bestfriend about details of your activities? I believe it's not healthy. What ya think?

I have no best friend cause I not very trust any best friend any more. Before I have best friends but they betray me and don't want to help me anymore. So now I didn't want to have any best friends again. For anyone have a best friend, I advice that be careful of them because they can hurt you.

I have always said if you go thru life with one true friend you are blessed. We all have aquaintences, and buddies. I have a best friend, we can tell each other anything. She would never say anything against me or try to hurt me in any way. I can trust her with my life, she is a friend to my heart. She also loves me unconditionally. And I love her the same way.

What you say is true. A person is very blessed if they can say that they have some close and best friends.

I think that is great that you can have that friendship with your sister! I hope that my three girls will be able to have that bound when they get older.
I will say that I only have two best friends. One I have not seen in years because she lives in Kansas but we talk often. :) The other is my daughter. She and I are very close and we talk all the time. Even though I will not reveal everything to her because she is my daughter, I feel that her and I are best friends also. My world would not be the same without either one of them. :) I am very grateful to have them in my life!

What you told is absolutely correct...Even I have a very good friend with whom i can share any feeling of mine.Even my inner real self.That is the closeness I feel.I am thankful to GOD for giving me such a nice friend and request GOD that the relationship should grow stronger and stronger..

yeah its great that you have recognised your sister as your
best friend but one thing i would like to mention here that friendship is inversely proportional to no. of members.
a true frienship should occur between 2 or 3 not more than that otherwise there are chances of conflict.

I have many friends. Some of my friends do not get along. That is their choice. Mine is to be a friend to each one of them.

Why 10 or 20 friends I believe
And began to named a few...

A friend for me is someone yo whom i look forward to for a smile when i am happy & who's shoulder's get down when I am sad..Its just one or two people that a person get in his whole life to call them a real friend..that's what I call one's asset of life..

Hi...friendship its a great thing which every person should have there in their lives....i believe their shuold be a friend in every ones as parents also come in that......life will be happy with friends they help us in every need and deed....they make us happy when feel bad they share our sadness,cheer in our success....words are not enough to explain about them.......
so friendship according to me is really a great thing......and to say about best friend he will be like we can share everything as our mirror image......its not necessary that to be friends we should have same interets though their likes and dislikes are different we can become good friends.......

I think we make friends with someone when we both have things in common. Like common surroundings, interests etc.
I have a few very good friends with I can share anything and everything. At times, we could just sit together without saying a word to each other and still feel very comfortable and enjoy the time.
