The last time I lost any significgant weight, I was eating lots of mixed nuts. Nothing else special. I know that they are full of good nutrition, and help satisfy the appetite. Any body else ever have that results?

I haven't ever tried to lose weight. I just try to gain weight for baseball. I've always been relatively light as a runner and I've finally gotten up to a comfortable 185. I'm probably carrying a little much for my frame but it's well distributed so I don't mind. That said, I have heard a lot about eating nuts as a meal. Also, 5 smaller meals a day really helps the metabolism speed up. Nuts are very nutritious and very high in protein. I have friends on high protein diets that just eat mixed nuts, tuna and eggs all day every day.

I could do that (tuna, eggs, nuts) a whole lot easier than I can do stuff like Slim Fast. I have tried to lose weight more than I have needed to, probably. It was a big fixation in my home, growing up. Thanks for the response

I have never eat nuts in my life, my mum made me beleive i was allergic to them so i have never eaten them. I am the most unheatlty eaters in the world and for some reason i dont put on weight. I eat full breakfast everyday either a chinease or indian takeaway at night. I know some day it will all catch up on me though.

Covert Bailey, a noted fitness writer, talked about how you can appear thin but have an internal layer of fat around your organs. I highly recommend his books--like Fat or Fit. You might be allergic to nuts, I would talk to my doctor before I tried them, if you plan to. Thanks for responding.
