I just posted my New Year's resolutions for this year, and that made me think. How many people kept their resolutions from last year? Here are mine; * Get a different job. One that doesn't break my back or my brain. (I had a terrible job that kept causing me to injure my back. I got a new one in March.) * Get my back sorted out. I'm tried of being in pain. in progress. definitely getting better. (My back is much better since I'm not making it worse at work every day. I've also been doing yoga and seeing a chiropractor, so it's getting stronger.) * Drink less. The not being in pain part should help with that. (I think I did overall. I could probably stand to cut down a bit more though. * Start drawing comics again. It's been years, and I miss it. (I did a few storyboards, but that's about it. I should try again this year.) * Write more. Finish crazy_boat. (Crazy Boat was a story I was working on. I finished in in October. I have been writing a little bit of other stuff, but nothing quite on that scale.) * Read more. Spend some time in the library. (I kept that one.) * Pick up the German again. It was fun, and I really would like to get halfway decent at another language. (I didn't keep this one.) * See more live shows. (A few, but not nearly as much as I wanted to.) * Finish my taxes finally, and that will have my finances all caught up. (I finished three years worth, and I have two to go.) * Actually remember to take my vitamins every day. They help with the crazy. most days. (I remember sometimes, but not all the time.) How about you? Did you keep all your resolutions?

Alas, I wish I could say I did keep 2006 resolutions, but about a month ago I found my 2006 resolution list and Whoa!! I was aghast!!!! I hadn't accomplished one of them and to make matters worse, I couldn't really say that I had even attempted to make a concerted effort on any of them. So for 2007 I have only made three to work on and not an entire list. 1) Deepen my relationship with my Lord. 2) Become a Better wife 3) Declutter my home, my body, and my mind. Thanks for letting me share -- "To thine ownself be true!" :)

Mine's not even all that bad, I've seen lists with 50 things on them! Good luck with your resolutins for this year. Sometimes, simple is best.
