I am interested as to what some of your favorite words are and why? Give a description of the "power" in this word. 1 of mine is Impeccable. It says it all...so much power in this word! When humans realize that "humanity" itself, is very much "literally" Impeccable.

My favorite word is "can". It can be combined with another word to say, I can, you can, we can, he can, she can and they can. Although this may look very basic in nature it is the word that creates positive vibes. From your discussions I have noted that you are researchng with many types of "vibes". I hate to hear the oppsite of this word. Being negative is not my nature.

I have a few favorite words. I love the power of words. The fact that the some words can fill your heart while others can empty it out. Some of my favorite words are "Love, Laughter, Mother, Child, Give, and Wonderful". Just a few of my favorite words but all of them are very powerful and when you say them or think of them they just bring that little smirk on your face.

My favorite word would have to be, "self-awareness". To me this is the basis of ALL humanity and is the main underlying point in all of existence. The word that I have been using FAR to frequently is, "Ignorance" being that this is the general state of society in America. Witness the out of controll government.

By "gets you going" you mean? Words can have the power to affect us all in so many different ways, both postively and negatively. I love them all. I wish I could remember them all, but am subject to regular incidents of "brain-farts", most especially when I am trying to come up with a word like "condescending" or something of the like. I know what it is that I want to say, the meaning behind it, but I often cannot find the word. The "c" word, a derrogatory term for the female genetalia is enough to make me come unglued, if that counts as getting me going! lol. But if you mean by makes my heart beat a little faster and peaking my interest, making me sit up a little straighter and adjust myself just so.... I would have to say that there are too many to list here. I love big words with specific meanings. I love those big words that are so very often misused and mispronounce by so many in their attempts to sound intelligent. I love to hear the medical terms around the hospital where I work, knowing that in some way, I help to get our patients the care that they need to overcome these things. I love to hide a smile behind my hand, no matter how b!tchy it might seem, when someone misuses or mispronounces a word, knowing that they have fubar-ed the English language once again. I have to bite my lip when I hear this sort of thing because I have the MOST annoying habit of correcting the english and grammar of the public at large and trust me when I tell you that they do not appreciate my interjections one little bit. Words.... such delightfully useful things..

...another one of my favorite tricks with words ...is how "perception" allows for so many interpretations! In real life this is only further "confused" by my facial emotions, the tone I use, and body manerisms. It is amazing to me when I do these little experiments with people/language..THAT WE UNDERSTAND EACHOTHER AT ALL!...LOL! wow...seems I get bored sometimes heh?...LOL peace

A few of my favorites: schadenfreude- taking pleasure in someone else's pain zeitgeist- the general mood or sentiment of a particular group interlocutor- the person with whom you're speaking (This one, if used in conversation by the right female, earns an immediate proposal of marriage from me.)

I keep coming back to this one as I cannot decide. Magic is a good one, so much of our world ismagical if we look around. Power is another one, it can mean so many things that are strong. Unconditional is amazing as in unconditional love - humans find it so hard to give.

I have two words that really get me going. Glorious is one. First, it's just the sound of the word. The flow of the blend of the g and l. And, then the meaning. I'm not giving a dictionary definition here, just my meaning. It's like a more noble version of wonderful. My second favorite word is triumphant. It's just majestic and strong. (I may have to add majestic to my list of words) It's such a strong word. I picture a parade of people marching triumphantly after some great victory.

My favorite word is Mondegreen. It sounds like an overpowering vastness, when it's meaning is just a simple misunderstanding.

Simply "create" My life revolves around creating things. I am a writer, I done web design (Just did mine in Flash) and I perform magic. Creating is my life.

"Implacable" is an interesting word for me. It raises images of some undefined force, and what makes it implacable. Power is inherent in the word. (Of course with me "implacable" also has terrible connotations of deodorant, but I guess that's just natural.) You ever try making up a word test where you have to pick two or more separate words/phrases as answers, and try and make them work together? I think if you did that with some of the really catalytic powerful words, you'd probably come up with a new form of sustainable energy. Better yet, maybe even a way of driving some of these dogmatic grammar worshippers up the wall.

I guess I would have to say copacetic - not exactly sure why it's my favorite word - I mean, lol, things are not always okay - but perhaps they are. I somehow continue to survive, so I guess as long as I am alive, it's all okay.... LOL
