If I could find a class that I was interested in taking and knew it would improve my life, I would rather take it online than in the classroom. Most classes offered for people who "have a life" are during the evening. I am not one that enjoys leaving my house on a cold winter's day.

I have taken online classes and love them. I do it on a regular basis. It is so much easier for me. I do not live close to a college or University and I am not the traditional student. I am much older. I will continue to take online classes whenever they are available. I love to keep learning. Knowledge is very important to me

i am now taking online classes on swedish language. my boyfriend is from sweden and i will soon move to sweden with him. so, before going there, i would like to atleast learn some few important swedish words to atleast make him feel that i respect his country. and it's better to take classes in a real classroom than online classes. atleast, we can ask questions straight to the teachers.

I took about 8 of my highschool classes online and found that my marks actually turned out to be a lot better when working via the internet, rather than the traditional classroom method. I think the traditional method got too boring for me and I got too distracted, with learning online I was able to set my own hours and learn self-discipline. I think that learning online is great for the right kind of learner, you have to stay really motivated though....as there aren't really strict deadlines set (there are deadlines but within reason).

I think classroom instruction is usually best. I do have a password to get into an online learning system to learn more about web design and I intend to give it a shot. But I think it usually works much better to learn from a human being in person because of the give and take and ability to ask follow up questions.

I actually have a friend that is earning his masters via the internet. I believe it's a local college but all of the classes are via the net. I've taken some free online classes. I cannot remember the site but there used to be one that has so many classes they offer... from crafting type to writing to computer. It's awesome. I'm not sure if it's still running or not or even what it was called. I used to get newsletters from them too. I also homeschooled my kids for a few years via an internet school. They loved it. They took tests online and received their grades that way. I taught them out of the books the school provided. It was a charter school based out of the Pittsburgh area. It really was a nice setup.
