do you know that if someone breaks into your home and is hurting you and your dog bites the intruder you are liable for your dog biting them?????? how insane is that?

Best solution would be to cross your Daschund with an Alligator, so there's no evidence left to cause any problem. Or drag all the politically correct imbeciles responsible for putting this nonsense into the law out into the streets and lynch the lot of them (after first letting your dog have a good chew on each one - heheh)

Wow, I never even knew that. Yeah, that`s pretty insane. I would fight my way for it. What about the damn intruder? LOL

This is the same thing as the homeowner getting in trouble for shooting someone who breaks into their house. What exactly can people do to protect themselves? It's crazy, isn't it!

Yes, but I would just take them to civil court and sue them for breaking into my home. You can sue for the damage they do to the house, if they steal/break anything and the mental pain from the whole thing. I would say a few million would be enough.

if they are stealing then they probably dont have much to sue for

I have 3 dogs and I will tell you that if you are a burglar coming into my house, then you better have some massive protective gear on, cause they will eat you alive. I don't even have a Pit or anything like that...My dogs are Beagel,Lab,Sheppard...They are just super protective...That is good though...When the kids friends come in the house, I know right away if my kids shouldn't be friends with them cause all my dogs will do is growl at them and not let them past the door..It is kinda funny in a way.

Yes, unfortunately, I know about this! One of my relatives in Florida had this happen to them. They were gone for the evening. A burgler came into their house and started filling a sack with their belongings when their dog bit him. They got sued, and then fined, and their dog had to be quarrantined and then put to sleep on top of it...all for doing it's job! The intruder basically only got a slap on the hand from the law. Sometimes it seems like the law is on the side of the bad guys. This, to me, was, and is, totally unfair, and just not right!
