What do you think about the actors or singers that try to do it all. I actually hate it, its as if they don't already make enough money, they have to try and 'do it all' I can understand them wanting to have their own "perfume" and all but actors that can't sing...shouldn't and singers that cant act....don't....but by all means if you CAN ( and the key word is CAN) do it all then please do, but if you can't then stick to your trade and leave the rest alone!

I have a similar peeve about celebrities. Every time they do something (get married, have a baby, get treated for depression, you name it), THEY HAVE TO WRITE A BOOK ABOUT IT. I mean, the rest of us "dull normals" do all these same things too (granted, on a much different scale and budget)! I don't know... it irks me LOL

I think the reason they do write books is because people are generally intersted in their lives. And some of their books are eye opening and very interesting. I've only read 2 - Syliva Browne & Montel Williams. I think other peoples lives in general are interesting...famous or not.

Oh for sure, I do agree with you completely. I don't think every "celebrity" book is without merit, not by far. My daughter has read multiple Sylvia Browne books (she's 13) and I find Montel Williams very interesting as a person, myself. I also agree with you that those books are interesting to some people, simply by virtue of being written by a celebrity they adore, or to those who are fascinated by celebrity in all its forms. For me, reading a celebrity account of something I've already gone through myself, doesn't really grab my attention. Example -- I remember seeing Jenny McCarthy on a talk show and she said that, after giving birth, she had to write a book about pregnancy to let women in on all the secrets. I just couldn't fathom how she was going to say anything that hadn't been said a million times over... but, your point is very valid -- someone might want to read that just because they happen to like Jenny McCarthy.

Once you get in to stardom, I think only think left is taste of money and actors try and invest as much as possible in some business which they can earn more money, nothing else matters ...

I think it depends on the person for designing clothes. You have to understand when it comes to designing clothes you've got to be creative. And usually singers are very creative. Some have their own style and want to market it. Some like Gwen Stefani has been making and tweaking thier own clothes since they were kids. So in her case I think it was a natural thing. However I agree with the perfum thing. That's all for the money. And I also agree some people should just stick to what they are good at (or in Britney Spears case are NOT good at).

Celebrity is one of those rare things that allows a person the noteriety to try things they always wanted to do. Personally, I can't stand it either. Their name has become namebrand, akin to Nike or any other namebrand, and so they use it to promote whatever it is they want to do. Too often it just seems like an obvious attempt to make more money.
