I like to have tomatoes because they are so easy. I have also tried carrots and corn. Not sure what I'll try this year. What about you?

I've always thought if I lived in town I'd have to grow vegetables in pots. If I had some outdoors around the base of the house, I'd try to grow some stuff there, if possible, or even on a fire escape. And I'd definitely have to have lots of houseplants, with hopefully plenty of big ones.

We usually plant tomatoes, regular and cherry, one(!) zuchinni plant, cucumbers, broccolli, acorn squash, peppers, cantaloupe, one or two watermelons, some spinach and green beans. And it's actually quite a small garden! Once in awhile I get adventurous and throw in an eggplant or beets or something.

Yes, I forgot about flowers, too! I have planted crocus, hyacinth, tulips (my favorite) and a non-flower, but bulb plant, Elephant Ears! Flowers make a garden so wonderful, thank you for bringing them up!
