Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. How are you not normal? What is really unique about you.

Very good question. I have had this discussion with family & friends a few times before. My question is always the same"What is normal?" We all have similarities but we all have differences too. If we looked in our own households we see so many different ways of seeing things and doing things. But does that mean our/your(general terms here) household isn't normal? Nope it's normal for us. So for me I look at all the simiarilities and differences of the way people see and do things. And realize what's normal for one may not be normal for another. Again "what is normal?" But we all have the potential to be kind, caring, loving people. And most people are in their own way.

I think my perspective is that if we were all "normal" this would be a boring world indeed. It is our little quirks and differences that add spice to our life, and make us stretch our minds and our hearts. To all my friends who reply, go on being as "un normal" as possible and thanks for replying.

Well I eat different kinds of foood that Canadian don't eat like our "dinuguan", we cook the blood of a pork along with their intestines, and even barbeque the blood. Well you might say yuck! But we filipinos eat it. My husband seen me eating these, and him and his family said the same, yuck! they think I am normal. Well I told them, if you were brought up to eat that kind of food where you used to live, you probably eating what I am eating right now. hahaha.

One of my husbands favorite statements is "that's not normal". Normal to him isn't normal to me. He comes from a different culture. He is Dutch and lived most of his life in the Netherlands until he met me and moved to the USA, that over 8 years ago. There is no true definition of normal. It is only what we perceive it to be. I guess my way of thinking is what makes me unique.

I have always thought that I was the normal person and that other (not all) people were abnormal. Some people tell me that I am not normal because I don't share a bedroom with my husband. Well, just let them hear his snoring and they will understand why I have to do this. He himself will even admit that he cannot sleep with the noise of his own snoring.

yes everyone does seem normal until you get to know them, my friends say that I am really unique for my kindness, and the way I treat them and I always seem to cheer them up when they are down, this is just me but I believe that I am really unique in the way I do this.

People tell me i'm not normal because I eat my food weird. I put my rice in my chicken, I eat my mashed potatos on bread etc. I just like food in different ways.
