it's said that mother is called mama in every language.is that true?

i once read a report.it say that mama represent mother in almost every language.in my native language chinese and english it does so.i wonder if it is true in your home tongue.if so,do you think it is a coinsidence or consensus,or simply because it may be the first sound baby could anounce?

I believe it is gexi. I think that word mama come from the very few words babies speak. It is "mama" in our place too.

In the Philippines, it is. Maybe because it is easy to pronounce by babies and it has been widely used. Part of tradition also, it is a common thing then.
