When you're responding, do you want to add emotions to your response?

Do you find that while responding, you need more than words? Like wanting to emphasize certain words or wanting to put expression into what you write? How does one do that?

Sometimes it's hard to add emotions to our responses. The one thing I try to do is to write just like I was speaking to a friend sitting right next to me. When you're speaking, you know what words you put emphasis on in a sentence. (Like: I DON'T want that to happen again!) I think you express yourself just fine here on mylot! Keep trying and it will all flow even more naturally for you.

Yes, I find I do 'talk' as if there was a person right here. It does work better that way. Thank you for saying that I express myself just fine. Sometimes I do and sometimes I have trouble finginf the right words to do that. Thank you for the encouragement. I'll try even harder now.

No, no, no. The emotions are there, I just meant that I think it would somehow helpful with expressing those feelings, that's all. I don't just mean the smile one. You can't, anyway, make all the people happy all the time, and I certainly don't try. Read some of my responses to other posts.....and Smile, it's contagious!

Yes, sometimes a subject on here causes emotions to rise in me. The only way I can see to do it is to cap the word for expression. I haven't done that but sometimes I get typing so fast I lose track of what the question was in the first place. lol

Oh I do too. I sometimes babble on about other associated topics. Then when I edit it, I have to join it all up. I don't understand what you mean by, '...to cap the word for expression.' What does this mean?

HA...yeah! Many times I wish we had some smileys to throw around on here. If people wouldn't abuse them and use them as a post count, instead of actually writing something with the avatar, they probably would have them on here.
