what will be the fate of the floppy drives in the near future pc's?

as all we all know at one time we used to have a thing called floppy drives on our cpu's but all that has been replaced with cheaper and value for money thumb drives. do you thnk i am right or wrong?

My husband and I were talking about this the other night. He asked me if I remembered using the big floppy disk. I said yeah and he said then they came out with the small ones and now they have cd's. He said he wondered what they would come up with next. There is always something new coming out for us to use.

Soon there will be no need for them. With all the new technology and forms of way to store information, who will actually need them.
