does dogs have conscience?????

i basically love my pet labrador,he is black in colour and 3 yrs old,nowadays i started to think that my dog has a conscience.i feel that way because very often he does many mischief and after doin that he hides his face away from his master(myself)and often doesn't come near me for hours...well what do you people think about this???

Yep - my dog knows right from wrong I'm sure of it - she just hopes she won't get caught when she jumps on the lounge or chews my shoes :-) Yes I know most of it is training, but looking at her face when she's been caught makes me think she knows better :-)

i don't know realy but if they don;t run away from there master and protects it think that they does and how of all rules are exeptions there are dogs who don't:) . that is my opinion . So What can i say more just have a great non rainy day .

I don't think they have a conscience. I don't think they are aware of their place in society. I think they are creatures of habit and the things they do are their reactions towards habits. I do think they are the masters and we are the obedient ones though. They just sit there all day and we work and slave away, feed them, and then clean up after them.
