We just found out my daughter has this. I have been doing lots of research and have found something called Pine Nut Oil. You add it to veggies and cook with it instead of regular cooking oil. It is suppose to coat the stomach and esghaus (? Sp) and is suppose to relief the pain cause by Colitis and is reported to have healing properties. I have yet to try this for my daughter but will as soon as it arrives, we couldn't find it in the stores her in Indiana, but I found a place in Missouri that sells it. Pine Nuts in the raw form is suppose to help also. I could only afford to get the oil right now, because of all the hospital stays, but am planning next month to order some of them too. I also read that lots of filtered or bottle water can help clean the digestive tract, which can relief the symptoms for the Colitis. My daughter has been on heavy intake of water for days now and her pain is starting to subside some. I also have been giving her Noni Juice, it can relief the pain, but you must make sure you are getting at least 6-8 glasses of water a day. Or its been reported to aggervate the symptoms. I hope this helps. I let you know how the Pine Nut Oil works. Supposly you see results almost right away. With-in 48 hours.
