I have just got my new upgraded mobile phone a Nokia 6280 it's taken me 3 days to get it out of its box and get it charged, I have got too attached to my Nokia 6630 and I can't be bothered to change it over. Are you like this, prefer to hold on to things for as long as possible or do you upgrade to the latest technology as soon as it comes out?

Geez, I just got my first cell phone a few months ago, and that was only because my little sister was sick, and I wanted my family to be able to get in touch with me just in case. It's the simplest thing ever! It's a Nokia, but it's one of those Net l0 ones, that you buy phone cards for and charge it up with minutes. The only thing I use it for is to call my Mylot friends, the couple that I talk to on the phone. I never carry it with me, either. And just last night, my little Manx, Nova, chewed the cord on the charger and now it's in two pieces. I took off the plastic casing on the wire, twisted it together, and wrapped it with electrical tape, but it doesn't work! Dammit. Now I'm gonna have to get a new charger. I don't see that I'll ever get a really high tech phone. I just don't like them enough to spend the money, time or energy trying to figure them out. The one I have is hard enough - I still don't know how to do everything it does, and comparatively, that's not much.

I love Nokia, only handset I've ever had but the latest one had so many gadgets on it, all I want is to send texts and maybe use the camera anything else remains a mystery to me, hopeless with new gadgets and new technology. I still don't have a a clue about what a blue tooth is and why all the fascination with it, don't laugh but I thought it was a sharks tooth or a whales tooth at first PMSL

Hey, Wolfie, thanks for BR, darlin! And I'd never tease you about the whale tooth thing. Yeah, right, of course I would! Whale tooth. funny, funny, funny! You should get the best response for that one. But I didn't know what it was either - no big surprise there though. I just couldn't imagine anything at all. And I couldn't figure out for the life of me who those people were talking to, as they walked down the sidewalk, just talking to beat the band, and nothing even resembling a phone was visible to me, not at all. I've really gotta get my eyes checked, wolfie!

I don't change particularly my cell phones very often. We get used to them to the level of handling them blind.A new gadget takes time to get acquainted and we use it for the same purpose in spite of its extras. So I used to stick to one model till I feel so outdated.

I guess I have no patience or acumen for new devices and what they do! I just want the basics which I understand

i do not think that we should go with the latest technology caused it never ended as long as human still doing invention and innovation. i prefer to hold what i already have at now as long as i still able to use it very well. sometimes, new technology or software not always directly applicable in our life. as like windows vista. its new program rather than windows xp but its not too familiar and people like to use their old windows xp than windows vista
