I only like to use ALL FREE AND CLEAR. Sometimes the costco "knock off" of that is just as good too :) but for cheaper!

I Love Cold Water Tide. I love how it makes my clothes smell fresh and clean, but the main advantage to using Cold Water Tide is that you save on your energy bill. Reason being that you aren't using extra energy heating up the water!

I make my own. It's all natural, quick and easy to make. I've been using it for a couple of months and it's great. It costs less than a penny a load to use. For those of you interested in making your own, check out the recipe: http://natural-products.suite101.com/article.cfm/washing_clothes_for_pennies

I found most of the washing detergents do have about the same function so I never fix to any of them. I usually change them every now and then. The detergent I use at the present moment is Cosway Power Wash. I prefer those detergents with lovely and mild fragrance. I like to put on clothes with slight lovely fragrance which would make me feel comfy the whole day.

Honesty, they are all the same to me. I just buy whatever's cheapest and I have no problems with any of them.

As for what works best, the active ingredients are the most important factor, meaning off-brand washing detergent, with the exact same active ingredients, will be as efficient as any name brand. I prefer Gain for the lasting scent, but if finances are tight, I will purchase SUN w-bleach alternative (mountain fresh scent) instead. As for diswashing liquid, I will use Dawn only! I have tried many others but Dawn dishsoap is the only one that really does the work for you and cuts through the grease too. Dawn comes in a lot of different types like anti-bacterial, with bleach, ULTRA and yummy scents.

I like Arm & Hammer too, cause the baking soda keeps it fresh smelling, even if you don't get it out of the washer right away. I never see stains stick to clothes either. I would also have to say that SHOUT is my favorite stain remover.

I like the way Tide makes laundry smell, but I do not buy it because of the price. I usually buy Arm and Hammer or ALL and they work fine.
