What's your ideal tattoo?

Is it a dragon? Maybe it's a rose. Maybe it's something that's closer to home, and a portrait of a lost family member? Whatever it is, please share it here. Mine is a dragon.

The one I would like to have done would be a bird. I would like one that is a cross between celtic and tribal designs, an eagle.I want it with open wings. I haven't found the right design yet.

My ideal tattoo is a street sign stating "Exit Only" on my behind...of course it must wash off eventually. I can't stand a needle and am too fickle to have something on me permanently, lol.

My ideal tattoo was to have a rose on the side of my stomach, and i just went ahead and finally did it about 7 months ago, it looks great. I was afraid that it was going to hurt something terrible, but once the tattoo artist began working it wasn't bad at all.

None. A naked body is a artwork all by itself.

For me it would be to honor my grandmother and my Cherokee heritage. I designed my own. It is a simple dream catcher with red beads and feathers. Since red was my grandmothers favorite color. I also want to put her name and dates on it.

I'm planning on getting a tattoo of five scales on my right shoulder..they represent the number of days I've had of pure bliss. I'm hoping on adding scales down my back as I add wonderful days. Since they're few and far between I thought it'd be something great to look forward to, keep track of, so I'd always have the scales to remind me that my life hasn't been completely crappy lol..and if I find a good tattoo artist they should look almost real..which will make me feel a bit prettier and help my low self confidence a bit more too haha. Another thing I might do, is keep tack of how many bad guys I help put away later, in the event I get my dream job as a P.I. which should also be few and far enough between. Those'll probably be tribal tattoos, claw like arrows I think. Small. On my thigh. Anyway..I don't think I'l do anything terribly random, only suff that means things to me.

Wow, those are awesome ideas! A friend of mine has a tattoo similiar to your scale idea, only his are black roses for all the bad things that have happened. He hopes to end up with a red rose, for a great thing that happens. I like your ideas, and thank you for responding.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of tattoos. Probably because sometime in the future I hope to lose weight, so it would look really messed up if I got a tattoo now. However, I have considered one before, and I've decided that if I did get one, it would be a black ant crawling across the top of my foot. Not only would it be a great conversation starter, I think its a type of tattoo not a lot of people think about. The bonus to being on top of the foot is that socks or shoes make it easily disappear. The problem is that I've heard the foot is one of the most sensitive areas, so it would probably hurt a lot to get one there.
