I just saw this on the local news! There's a real-life Pet Detective based in Georgia named Carl Washington. His website is: http://www.carlwashington-petdetective.com and he along with his tracking dogs will help you locate lost pets. He finds about 1/2 the animals that he's hired to locate. I really liked the Ace Ventura, Pet Detective movies and it's nice to know there is a real Pet Detective in existence.

There are so many signs hanging on telephone poles, post boxes and other places about our town. Pictures of pets that have come up missing. It is sad to lose a pet and never to find it.

Yes, it is the same here. This is the reason that all of our cats and two dogs are microchipped because I never want to be in the position of not being able to find them should they get lost.

I worry about these psychos who have animal sacrifice rituals and kidnap pets for that reason. That's so horrible. It might explain why there are so many missing pets though.

I had never heard of the real pet detective before! Thank you for posting his link. I think that is a terrific service. I would be devastated if I ever lost one of my dogs or cats.

I know, it would be awful to lose a pet. My dog has the Home Again chip implanted, but that only works if the people who find the dog take it to a vet and have him "scanned" to see who the owners are. Fat chance of tha happening. Odds are whoever finds him will keep him, since he's a purebred. I'd be heartbroken. I wonder if I can install a GPS locator on him?
