What kind of camera do you/have you owned?
I've had an Olympus D-540 Zoom and now I use a Canon A620.

I've never tried a Nikon but I've heard really excellent things about them.

Right now I have a Konika Minolta Dimage Z2. It is much better than the Kodak EasyShare I used to have. I did have a Canon Rebel SLR which was great, but I don't use film anymore. Its the digital age!

You should get the digital rebel body, you can use your old canon lenses on there.

I own a Canon Digital Rebel XT and a Canon A530. I love them both. I had a Minolta A1 but found it limited my photography. I also had had an Olympus 700UZ and it was a great camera but it was only 2 MP. I also had a nikon but did not like th feel of it. Canon is a great Brand and I would buy another one.
