Do you say it in brief? Do you go for graphic account, sequence by sequence, like picturisation Or You just make them understand your point.

I state my point of view. If they do not understand or agree, I will try to state it in a different way. After a couple tries, I realize they don't want to understand or agree so I just give them a nod and smile and let it go. Sometimes later down the line, they come back and say I was right or wrong. My husband hates this as he loves to debate an issue for hours and I won't continue....poor guy.

Not bad you have so much patience. I just tell people only once and at the end ask ANY CLARIFICATION? If they said no, I just do not waste a minute. A sister of mine who is in Singapore now, is a great talker, but I pity the listeners. Though the topic chosen is dear to everyone, people just waste their time. If talking is gold, silence is diamond.

I cannot make it brief. I feel unsatisfied, unless I tell the short story into long story.

I have no patience to listen to long stories if it can be told in a few sentences.

I am full of action. But I narrate very fast cos I cant wait until i reach the end. I tell all the useful things and touch all interesting things. But my father takes a very long time to say something. He tells every small little thing and if you listen to him narrating something, you feel like you watched the movie yourself (LOL)

After reading your response, I have come to conclusion that every family has someone or the other who is keen on narrating the incidents in detail. There are people who are spik and span. Very interesting response indeed.

Different people adopt different methods to narrate an event. When I interrupt my sister, when she is narrating, she deviates from the topic and comes back to the topic immediately and continue the narration. Thaks for your response to this discussion.
