I know that I'm out of step, but I very, very seldom eat out... maybe two or three times a year. I just don't enjoy going out to eat. In the past, I've eaten a variety of ethnic food, though and I don't mind trying new foods or recipes.

That's a minor reason, really. I don't enjoy going out to restaurants and that's the major reason. Other reasons are that it's too expensive for what you get (Just look at the price you could buy the same thing at from the grocery store) and too time consuming. I can make a sandwich and a cup of soup almost in less time than it takes to get the car out of the garage. Also, it's not the safest way to eat. Diseases are passed from those who work with the food to those who eat it and most restaurants are not as clean as you'd hope they were.

You put everything in prospective for me even more. I will be cooking at home more often for my family Lord knows I don't want any germs or diseases at all. Thank you so much for that insight.

I'm not sure the exact difference but I know Japanese serves raw fish which I adore and Korean is mainly cooked items. I must say I have a definite weakness for their Kim Chi!

I think my family and I need to cut back to once a week. We never eat out more than three times but fast food has been making me sick. Though I wouldn't mind going over to a relative or friends house for a healthy dinner.

Love all sorts of food -- except for junk food -- I eat out every day, I love to cook but recently have had no time to do so -- will cook at home maybe once a month or less.( actually 3X since the end of June)

We used to eat out almost every night during the week, but now that we are not making so much money, it is less than once a week. We usually end up eating at the "junk food" places, or we get carry out Chinese. There is a casino near us so sometimes we eat there. I am always up for trying different types of food, as long as it doesnt involve eating things like insects or small animals.

I agree with you there. I will never eat insects or small animals that is just disgusting. No offense to anyone who does. Middle eastern food is really good , indian is too but it is spicy. I want to try alot more of other ethinic food also.

I only eat out on special occasions like for someone's birthday or certain holidays. When I do eat out I usually go to all you can eat buffets or eating at diners like Dennys. I would be willing to try any ethnic food. I am already familiar with some like Italian, Mexican, Chinese, African, and many others. I would like to eat at a Japanese restaurant because I hear its a lot better but also more expensive.

Unfortunately I eat out at all!! I have 2 young children that are in 1st grade and 4th grade. The older they get the harder things are and the more demanding they seem to be. My oldest has many school activities and is always on the go. My youngest is just now starting to show some interests and participate. I as a Mother just about have no time to myself but you understand that being a Mother and all. I have healthy children but I feel what they put into their bodies is important. This may dictate how happy and healthy they are for the rest of their lives. Because we live busy lives we have a tendency to be lazy or should I say tired and be lax on what we should eat. We are a creature of habit and when my brain is run down we reach for food we can get fast. Kids like the Happy Meals because they have the toys. Myself I eat it and the next minute it comes out the other side. At the same time my children and myself are willing to eat anything so there is no reason we cannot eat healthy when we eat out. It is just a matter of selection. Since we are always open to new foods there would be no problem trying Ethnic Food. What are ethnic foods? I probably have already tried them but are there healthy choices. Either way we want to eat foods we enjoy and at the same time watch what we eat. Today's world often makes that difficult so sometimes eating at home is much easy because we can control what we eat.
