Do you vote and frequently keep up with issues in your government?

Absolutely. If I don't take part in the process that governs the lives of me and my children, then I've not only done nothing to ensure their future, but I forfeit the rights to complain when the process doesn't work as it should. Silence is compliance. To sit on the guidelines and complain about the system, while not doing anything to encourage change, is hypocritical. A line I've always liked that describes it quite well is "Be the change you expect to see".

Everything you said rings true in my book too. I like how simply you put it, "Silence is compliance." I like that a lot, thanks for responding! Best answer too!

i am not as politically active as other people who go to the streets with picket signs and all. i do vote and exercise my rights to giving up my opinions and share them with friends and family members.
