Do you know about w32.spybot worm in computer?

Hi I scanned my friends system and found a worm called as w32.spybot..
Can anybody explain to me the characteristics and how to remove this??

what kind of anti-virus do you have? is it updated? do you have anti-spyware?
how to remove it:
1. update it
2. restart then press F8 to go to safe mode.
3. turn off system restore.
4. scan.
5. delete infected files
additional info:
1.go to c:(system disk)
2.disk clean up
3.delete all temporary internet files

I recommend bitdefender 10v antivirus. (4in 1) get it in 9down.com with serial. scanning id done in normal mode.
