How fast do you drive? At speed limit, under, over?

I usually drive about 5-10mph over the speed limit. It depends on the situation. If it is raining or the road is wet, I'll drive slower. I hardly ever drive more than 10 mph over the speed limit especially now that I have a family. How about you? How fast do you drive?

I always drive the speed limit. When I was younger I got a couple of tickets because I was speeding and that really helped slow me down. Getting pulled over brings on a lot on anxiety for me and I don't like to chance it.

most of the time I don't pay attention and drive where I am comfortable. usually that's a good 5-10 over the speed limit. But I know Im comfortable going that speed. of course there are times where I don't feel comfortable and I tend to slow down my speed .

I'm driving my Nissan Frontier everyday, within the city and to other municipalities of our province. For driving within the city, 30-60 kph will do. But for driving outside the city, 80-90 kph will. Of course I do observe speed limits for a given road.

The fastest I went so far was around 100kph. I would have wanted to go faster but my car has reached it's limits. But I would want to try to go beyond 100kph under the proper conditions and traffic situation. Our highways don't usually have speed limits so you are relatively free as long as you take necessary precautions when there are sudden curves. Some of the roads are also not well maintained so you can't really possibly build up speed that smoothly even if your car is pretty capable. Maybe someday I'll be able to go beyond the 100kph mark. I just wonder how it would feel to be behind the wheel of a flying car hehe.

In the U.K. the police are now using speeding cars as a new form of tax, and they are targetting drivers going at even 1 mph over the limit in some areas (at one time they allowed 10% + 3 mmph). Otherwise lawful drivers are the best criminals for them to catch, usually plead guilty or accept an automatic fine, and seldom attack police, however if your car was stolen, they will try and avoid arresting the real criminal, as it is much more dangerous for them. Speeding drivers help their statistics greatly as they can claim 100% record for catching them. I've recently got a satellite tracking system which warns me when I approach a speed camera, and also tells me what speed I am travelling at.

I'm with you in the 4-10 over range. I ty not to speed, but the rest of the people where I live drive like idiots. There is a road on the way to work that is 65 MPH. I drive 65-70 because I don't need a ticket. People drive past me going 85-90. It's pretty scary! I don't see a lot of cops out here, only on interstates. SO of course everyone drives fast, there is no fear of getting pulled over.

I drive within limit i.e. 40-60Kmph on National Highways & upto 40Kmph on other roads. It depends upon road condition as well.

I don't drive, but if I did, I suspect I'd drive a little under the speed limit, depending on what the limit is. The thought of driving makes me nervous, so I doubt I'd be a speeder. I would probably avoid highways because anything over 50 mph makes me very anxious.

75mph is my comfort zone....unless there is alot of traffic or I notice the cops out. depeinding on where I am at depends on how much over the speed limit like in calif. thats only 10 over and 5 over is some areas....but here in texas that is 15 over. I've got a lead foot.

I usually try to keep to the speed limit. But I do drive about 5 or so miles above the speed. Some smaller towns around me you have to watch it though. They are definitely speed traps. I try to watch it. I would say I am a pretty careful driver.

Very few people do drive at or under the speed limit, and sometimes its actually dangerous to do so, such as on busy highways. My rule of thumb is never go over 15, and only go over 10 in an emergency. In North Carolina if you get a ticket under 10 mph over then you wont get points on your license, just a fine. If your over 15 mph over the speed limit you get a ton of points and lose your license for 30 days. Check your state laws and keep that in mind...
