I am a bengali guy born and brought up in Kolkata. Recently I visited to Singapore. And then I realised we need to learn from them lot of thing. My wife is a Filipina. When she come first she just stunt to see the indicipline of us. e.g. when traffic is on then people are crossing the road, she just stunt to see this. One day we go out we were taking banana, the unused part of banana i want to throw side of the road, she just hold my hand and keep that into her hand bag and she throwed it to the nearest garbage bin. Then I realised that I can't claim I am a educated. Now I want Clean and dicipline Kolkata like Singapore. Can we achieve this?

i just wish u felt a little more proud of your roots mate and where u come from....i mean, this is exactly the problem with our country....we have people like u who think foreign is so much more better....u cant appreciate whats good abt the place....frankly, i like traffic jams and a tad bit of indiscipline...it makes me feel human...and i dont want kolkata to be singapore....she is perfectly fine as she is....we are not a bunch of robots and the imperfections in ourselves are what makes us humans...so my advice to u dear friend is...like it or leave it...

Brother this is our problem. We don't think good, we don't want to be developed. We just want what we are. We don't want to go ahead of good future. my dream is clean & pollution free India, where we will take breath easily. thanx for your posting.

brother i never smoke till my 35 years of age. i pay taxes regularly. i never spit on the road. i never urinate publicly. yes thats true, thats why i can see the dream of clean india. i never tell that india is bad. brother india is my mother land. mother may be poor but she is my mother. i never tell she is bad. i tell that our habit is bad, where we are educated or not. i hope u will agree with me. have u not seen people spit after taking pan parag etc. do u support that. do u not feel that our clean metro rail is not so clean today.

Yes you are true Specially the marwari people spilt lot in the ground in the Building wall . Even they do toilet . What is this ? It really make the Place unclean. What we will do by cleaning the Inside of our House . We need to keep our Surroundings Clean . Not only House . How much administration will do . It is required by us to keep our Surroundings Clean that is called real Happiness in life. Not only riding Car . I think we can achieve if we all Bring the conciousness like Foreigner .

Please don't blame a specific community for any kind of nuisance. Majority of Indians irrespective of religion, caste, education and wealth we are same in this stand. We always say that we love our country, but every second we disrespect our country. We need social education but practical education which can we use in our daily life.

Yes you are absolutely right. Indians need to be more clean but you should also blame all the people for this. Whenever Indians go to a foreign land they don't litter in the streets and they follow every rule but whenever they come to India they start to litter in India. They throw away garbage in streets and stuffs. They never try to even keep things clean on their part.

I'm fully agreed with u. If u read my posting then u will see i also do the same thing. Actually it is only for lack of civic sense which unfortunately we don't have. We are educated but not educated with civic sense. Only India will clean if we think all the country is our home.
