I've just been accepting by a UK model agency who say I don't pay them a single penny! The problem is, I've got this little voice in my head saying 'what's their ulterior motive?' Is it too good to be true, or are there really genuine opportunities out there? I'm not sure as I'm 27 so hardly an ideal candidate!

Well i've read a few stories about people who had to pay up front and got scammed so I'd take it as a good thing that you haven't been asked to pay..:)

Alright...let's assume you are not the ideal candidate... Now let's name the voice inside as [ say hot stuff and casper]... Certainly hotstuff must have come before ! Given you a poke and said... now isn't that dumb... So what you do now is to take that voice/ opportunity [or whatever] and replace with this one... if casper starts to present himself... then boy.. hot stuff is takin u for a ride.... and [am sure] he is enjoying it [you aon't that bad...the compliment above reiterates that] So focus on these two and go ahead and make a decision.... remember there are only opportunities out there.... it is how u turn and use them to your benefit ! So go ahead..... make my day xx Hot Stuff !

Hi All, I think you have to look at this from a business perspective. What do they have to gain? They sell models. If they have another product it opens their doors to more opportunity. You will have to pay. You need photos, bio & portfolio. So don't think that you don't have to pay. As a musician I pay every day in one way or another. Don't knock yourself. Here in America with the recent fat people trend there is fat chix on commercials all of the time. I refuse to call it a disease unless you call LAZY a disease. Think positive thoughts. Don't put yourself down. Personally I think more than half of the runway models are dogs.
