Ok so I've got my NVQ3 I've been at college for 3 years to get my qualification and experience working with children. I can't get a job with children so I'm going into admin. I have been a secretary before and have excellent typing speed. So I decide to go for just an admin job to start me off. £7.34 per hour Now if I was to get a job working with children, at my local nursery they are paying £6.06 per hour That is absolutely totally CRAZY! Where is the sense, looking after children is highly responsible and I've got 3 years training for it and yet someone can walk into an admin job with NO previous qualifications or experience and they get paid higher!

It certainly is crazy ... and such a shame to have done all the training and then not only to not get a job, but even if you did it would be less money .. it beggars belief doesn't it .. And what amazes me is that paying for childcare is hugely expensive for parents .. so where does all that money go .. certainly not to the childcarers by the sounds of it ... Where is all the money going to I wonder !

Mmmm nurseries make a big profit, in fact the nursery I worked at through my placement at college obviously did so well that the owners have since opened another nursery! It's beggar's belief. £7.34 is only the starting basic wage.
