songs from eraserheads, apo hiking society, vst, rico puno, etc. even from elvis presley, louis armstrong, etc. different versions or singers but same lyrics. movies like war of the worlds, gone in 60 seconds... even tv series have revivals too. can't they produce new songs or movies?

i agree, i think that if they can't come up with ideas on their own, without having to take what someone else has already done, that they just don't need to be in that business..it's a shame that the creativity level has dropped so far that they have to do that..there's no thinking involved.

they could if they would... if they think that they can earn from revivals they will grab it, its business anyway, and in my opinion most of the time revivals are better than the originals

I think it has to do with the dumbing down of America. There is no creativity left when kids are raised staring at the TV or "playing" with toys that play themselves. There is little reason for them to use their imagination when they're young; when they grow up, they don't know how. Thus... nothing new.
