My husband's does this sometimes. His raises up like that sometimes and itches him. It doesn't do it all the time but come to think of it, it does seem to do it more in the summer months when he gets hot. So maybe that is true.

Of course it's true, it will sacb and itch for about 1-2 weeks and then it will heal. That is because it's is healing, no worries.

it is absolutley normal..alot of people have reactions like that to the colors purple and green ( i know that green is a big one) i dont know if it has anything to do with the weather though.

Not True It does sound like a reaction to the ink, usually it is red however I have just recently has a client who had problems with white. The best thing to do is to go back to your artist and show him. How ever he just blew you off and lied to you. You can't tell anything over the phone. You might want to go to another tattoo artist or two. Don't stop with just one opinion. A good one will know how to help you. There are treatments to help sooth ink reactions. One thing is over the counter hydrocortisone cream. In bad cases of red rash we will "bleed" the red ink out by going over it with a tattoo machine.

Mine never raise or burn. One is grey and the other is red and black.

My tattoos raise and itch sometimes too. The tattoos are all black and are located on my wrists. I got them in Okinawa, Japan.
