TV Junky, are you a TV Junky?!!

I'm not a TV junky, but based upon your husband's opinion, I'm an internet junky .. most days. My wife constantly makes statements about how much time I spend on the computer. So, I've started going into the office more during the day so she does not see me on the computer. My businesses are almost all Internet related, so I have to be online .. but I do this, mylot.com, for fun and extra cash.

I am a tv junky when it comes to the weekends as I love to watch sports on the weekends and do a lot of tv watching. I have never spent that much time in front of the tv. I spent more time on the internet which I guess would make me a internet junky. :-) I would not say that you are junky but that many hours in front of a tv is not healthy in my opinion.

My husband is like you in having the TV on all day. Sometimes it drives me crazy, but I've pretty much learned to tune it out and go about doing what I have to do. Just sitting and doing nothing in front of a TV all day is a TV junkie, but just having it on while you do other things isn't the same.

9-12 hours a day is too much to waste on tv u can do better things than that.u read do some creative things or better learn something new.

i may have the tv on that much during the day also, but like you i multi task, i do other things then just sit in front of the tv. so no i don't think you are a tv junkie.

If you get all your work done, I would say you just enjoy the entertainment, so who cares what it is labled. Just enjoy it dear. It isn't taking any time away from him, is it? If not, then it is fine.

Well I am not a TV junky but you can call me a internet junky, as I can be on net for 9-12 hours.

I can't say that I am because I read and am on the computer most of the time. So I guess not except when the sport games are on.

I don't judge anyone. I do not watch TV. I do only if I am sick and I am in my bed.

yes, i like watching movie until i drop sleep.some time i eat and cook my meal with watch tv. even pouring water i face the tv. i like HBO movies and discovery channel

I don't think you are a TV junky. I like to watch tv all day long because it is relaxing and because from some emissions i learn new things. I even have a tv tunner on my computer and i like to let it on in bacjground while i am working at my computer. So i think you are not a TV junkey.

Well I am a TV Junky but not as big as you I watch Tv for 3-4 hrs a day. I think TV as a source of not only entertainment but also education, knowledge, personality development and much much more.....My parents think that watching is waste of time but thats not so...

I would say yes, that you are. A tv junkie does not necessarily mean that you have to sit and watch it, but even just having it on for background noise that you can glimpse at whenever you want. It's a bad habit. Studies have shown that having a tv as background noise actually decreases the sharpness of one's mind. You mention that you have a little daughter. Why would you want to start her off on that foot in life (meaning all that tv time) if there's even a possibility that it's not good for you?

lol I am a soap junky I love the soaps especially the Australian ones . the rest of TV i think is quite rubbish now xx

I have nothing against you.But I feel that watching TV too much is not good.Actually its harmful to the health. You may want to consider lessening your hour in watching. You'll be happy you did.

I think it's great that you still get things done even though you watch alot of tv. I don't watch much tv much because I am much more amused with the internet. I also love movies.

I only watch TV for a couple hours everyday. There are shows that I enjoy, but I could never just sit in front of the TV all day watching random shows.
