Does christmas make you happy or depressed? Christmas makes me happy, but for some reason it depresses my husband.

Well I usually love christmas,its the best time of year. But this year will be mine and my husbands 8th christmas together. Well we will not be able to spend it together. He is in the US and I in Canada this year. So I do now I will be depressed this yearas he will too.

I love Christmas and all things connected to it, but I've read that it causes more depression than any other holiday. Could your husband become depressed because of bad memories of Christmas? Or maybe he feels like he's missing something. That "Christmas feeling" isn't quite what the songs and stories make it out to be, at least all the time. If he's stressed about money or getting the right gift, that can make it a difficult holiday, too.
