Drinking and Driving ?

Many experienced drivers still drink and drive. I have known many who brag about the fact that they got behind the wheel and were so drunk that they could barely walk, and how they still made it home. They laugh about it, they are proud to state this fact. What a bunch of idiots. I think that all cars should come equipped with automatic shut off devices that when you blow into a breathalizer it won't let you start the car if you are under the influence. That is the only way I know that would stop this terrible practice.

Drinking and driving is so bad. I just don't understand why people know this knowing that they can kill themselves and everyone in their path. It's so selfish. I think they should think of new and creative punishments for drunk drivers. Instead of putting them in jail, how about making them work for free at the hospitals or helping people who have been hurt by drunk drivers? Something to let them see the needless pain they can cause. Let them learn something. Learn how to be a human being and help others. They can make meals for the people who no longer have arms due to being hit from a drunk. They can write and do chores for the people that were hit by drunks that are paralized. Force these drunk dirvers to look at photos of children who were hurt and killed from drunk drivers. Their is nothing morer heart aching for me in my line of work than working up a DUI accident and having to search for a child in a car seat that was ejected someplace or backboard some poor innocent person and try to keep them calm after one of their loved ones were killed on impact. It's sad.

Its really dangerous and a threat to human life. There should be strict law to curb this threat. Moreover the society should be aware on this..

i wont drink while driving

I think it is like everything else we have to teach our children, we just have to keep repeatedly talking about it. Knowledge is power. And I think the more our kids have access to information, the more they will realize the dangers that are out there.

If you drink and drive then you can get in an aceadid or something like that so never drink and drive.and if you drink then when your childring mite think it's ok to drink but it's not.

I think there are different aspects of it and you see it is very very dangerous to actually drink and drive.I think it should be avoided at any circumstances.

I think that driver education classes should be required to teach our younger drivers the dangers of drinking and driving to make them aware of what it can do to them as well as the people around them. Newer drivers should also be required to take defensive driving classes as well. I think it would be good if parents sat down and had discussions with their kids about it or maybe they can have some guest speakers talk about it at a city hall or something.

i can relate to that. my husband got two accidents in a row because of his so called "i'm better on this" creed. he has his group of friends that i shouted into a night after his car shoved the post. that post torns the car apart and as police report indicated that only a miracle did that. the car was totally wreaked and my husband is still alive. years after, he realized his second chance of life. whew!humans! don't really change if they don't undergo pains first. now he's good and we didn't buy a car anymore. not anymore.

we have on t.v. wonderful short films every hour or so that show an accident and the results like in a live show. everyone here is very much aware of the dangers of driving and drinking because of this media. and the government also tries to broadcast on the evening news car accidents and their cause. bringing to live air the people that made this happen because they were drunk and so on. i think it is the best idea to solve this problems to show it on t.v. as much as we can.

drinking and driving is good for me if you are talking about a cup of coffee , Oh my dear you are talking about liqure, sorry maam , those two words never comes in my life simultaneously, and if it comes i know the next day of my life will not come.thats all i want to say to a new driver about drinking n driving.

My wife and I go through this all the time and even though are kids keep saying they understand and they would never do that I still wander. So we cut articals out of the local news papper that have teen age drinking and driving, or joy riding that leads to fatal reactions. And we do a lot of taping on our dvr from the life time channel on subjects like this. hope this helps.

I don't drinking when driving but after driving I drink verry much ;))!
