What would your dream home look like? Large? Small? Traditional? Contemporary? Underground? TReehouse? What is your wildest dream for an abode?

I guess the house I live in now is my dream house. It is a federal style colonial and of a nice size, some of the rooms have french doors, a lot of hardwood floors, lots of crown molding, there are enough bathrooms for everyone, there are plenty of built ins and we have a carriage house above the garage. To make it more perfect, we added a swimming pool two years ago.

LOL..and I never use it. I never learned to swim since our school didn't have a pool (this was many years ago) and my mother didn't know how to drive so I never got to the community pool 10 miles away. The pool is for my husband and sons...who all swim. It looks pretty though!

I saw a round house in the mountains, years ago. It was so cool! Thanks for responding! My dream house is a very contemporary concrete and steel house....built underground. It would have skylights, and the face of the house would be exposed. It would be stone with lots of windows. Outside would be a large patio and a garden beyond. Simplicity and efficiency.

When I was young, I dreamt of a tree house. Then my country was not so developed and so it was possible. Not so anymore. I would very much like to live in a house with a garden where I can plant some flowers and plants where I can spend my evenings just enjoying the greens.....

My dream home would be secluded with trees so noone would be able to see my home. I would like a 2500 sq f home. I want a bathroom that has a garden tub that can slip into where it has windows all around where I can see out and noone can see in.

It would be a fairly new construction, with a wrap-around porch and a patio in the back and a big backyard. There would be six bedrooms. It would be spacious enough so we wouldn't be in each other's way but small enough to be cozy. It would be warm in the winter.
