How do you handle friend reqeusts here on mylot?

I accept everyone. If I later find that the person only requested to be my friend to send me referral links, or that they post 100s of spammy topics, I will delete them. If you are a person who gets lots of friend requests, but are very selective about who you select, I'd like to make a request: Instead of deleting the friend requests, could you just leave them unanswered? The reason that I suggest this is because I will request someone to be my friend if I find them interesting. If I've already made the request and been rejected, I don't necessarily remember. However, if the person has not deleted the request, it shows as "friend request pending". This effectively prevents me from bothering you with a second friend request. Thanks for reading this and considering my suggestion. I understand that some people would not want to go about it this way, but I thought I'd put it out there for consideration.

Well i get a few people as friends i always make sure of one thing, These people are active, they have a good ranking (meaning they are probably not posting bad) And that their posts are not spam topics. I do not want unactive friends i've gotten a few but these people never go on and i deleted them because of this.

I accept almost everyone. But if I notice or I get a notece from one of my friends that someone is offensive I delete him/her at once. I like my friends to be just like me. Creative, bold and open minded, kind and polite. Not much to ask, don't you think?

Seems perfectly reasonable to me ;) I'm glad you folks are so open-minded. I've seen a few posts where people were annoyed to get more than one friend request from the same person, so I really wanted to avoid annoying anyone in that manner.

Well I was only accepting friend requests from people that had posted responses that were content based and not just agreeing or yes or no answers. I then read a post by OldBuddy and decided to accept friend requests for anyone. At this moment I am still deciding. I don't want to reject people especially if they are new here. So for now I am accepting friends. :) I can always remove them from my list if they push my buttons the wrong way.

i don't think you will find spammers here,do you?but there are people who try to act smart and fool around in mylot thus making genuine members struggle to post and paste topics..

I generally accept all requests and leave them as friends unless they do something to upset me or I feel we have a real clash in personalities by what we post on discussions. I am quite happy to accept friends, the more the better, and I find it easier to look for new discussions by going to my friends first than having to go to discussions and trawl through the list.

I believe that mylot is a community of sharing views and concerns. It just fair that we would accept whoever that is requesting us. This is a community where we can help each and everyone not only with earnings but with a good disccusions wherein we can get some tips and knowledge in a way we are also sharing ours. Who knows we can be an inspiration or rather our lives and experiences can inspire everyone here.
