I hope that those who like to travel will visit Switzerland. I really recommend going to Zermatt, a really lovely Swiss city. Cars are banned from the inner city so it is a great place to walk and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Go in winter, the hotels are warm and cozy. Take one of the trams up to Gornergrat, the Top of Europe. It is a beautiful, beautiful view of the top of the Swiss Alps. What with global warming, who knows how long some of the glaciers are going to last?

I have been to Zermatt twice. I really liked it too. The Matterhorn is beautiful. I enjoyed going up to the klein Matterhorn for spectacular views. and to visit the ice grotto. The matterhorn museum was interesting - seeing the old climbing equipment they used - scary stuff compared to todays kit. I would like to ski in Zermatt - it was on my second visit,up on klein matterhorn, that i decided i wanted to learn to ski - and i havent regretted it!

I'm not a skier but I love that area of Switzerland. I also walked through the glacier caves and saw all the neat ice sculptures. It's a little pricey but someday take the helicopter ride that goes up and circles the Matterhorn from a distance of about 100 yards. It is awesome! I kept my video camera on the whole flight and love watching the video from time to time to remember the experience.
