Should people be made to get a licence to procreate. I certainly think so. In Australia they are actualy paying people to have kids. There isnt even age restrictions on the grant. 14 year old girls are getting pregnant just to get the money. Totaly wrong in my opinion. Pls tell us your country in your reply.

There should be an age limit because on a current affairs program months ago there was this silly little girl who was trying to get pregnant just so she could get the $3000 grant. If she actually used her brain she would realise that that amount of money doen't go far with a child. I guess at 16 all you see are dollars signs and not whats best for the baby who didn't do anything wrong. It is a good amount of money if you use it correctly, like we did. We spent it on stocking up the deep freezer and catching up on bills and spoiling our kids.

I too agree with the age limit. Do you think there should be a marital status restriction as well?

I think that they should have a age restrictment of 25 years. Then you are old enough to know the impact of a baby.

That is just wrong, if they are going to pay people to have babies there should at least be age restrictions, why are they doing this??

I think it is to help boost population levels. we are running out of people to work now that the baby boomers are starting to retire. Thanks

The last thing we need the government to branch out into the Department of Baby Liscensing. What a fiasco that would be! Much worse than pregnant 14-yr-olds, in my opinion. (Besides, teen pregnancy rates have been gradually dropping over the past couple of decades.)

My cousin nearly fell for something along those lines. This idoit boyfriend she had, whom didn't have a job or went to school convinced her to drop outa school. He then told her that if they had a baby welfare would give her as a high school drop out mom 3000 a month to raise the child. She came of the birth control and was trying...even though both my aunt and I who were high school drop outs just had new born babies and were only getting 800 dollars a month to live on from welfare. We tried to tell her the guy was wrong that he just wanted to bring her down and she got angry. She moved to another province with this guy even after, he had gotten another girl pregnant while they were still together. He got her way out west and then decided they were through and came back to live with the one he gotten pregnant and left her to find her own way back. When she finnally came back we told her now look, what if you would have gotten pregnant to that guy...she finnally seen in the end all the guy was really after was the money, because when his girlfriend gave birth and was given only under 1000 dollars he left her too. There should be a age limit because young teen girls like my cousin don't seem to think clearly and believe things that guys tell them even if it is not really so. A teen boy will say anything to get something he wants, and these girls just don't realize it, until its too late. There should be a age limit yes, however I don't think you need to get a license like you need to drive. Thats just kinda silly to me

I don't understand the whole license thing. But, I do feel that if they are going to have that be allowed, and pay people to have babies, not even making them out of love and committment, that yes, there should be an age limit.

According to your descriptions I think that you trying to say that Australia were make it commercial on the birth issues and would the other follow? For me I don't think so...thats a ethical issues there...beside there lot of other choices available nowadays.

No, people should be able to have children without a license. It's their natural right.

is that so? in my country, we're sort of having a baby boom here, and a lot of people are actually encouraging family planning, which i think is just against the law of creation.
