I do not think it is hard to say but I think it can be overused, i.e. when someone says 'sorry' just to get some sort of peace although they have in fact done nothing wrong. If I have 'harmed' or upset someone and am in the wrong, then yes I can say sorry but otherwise I will not use that word just for the sake of peace.

I donot think so. If one has caused inconvenience to others by way talk, action or through a letter, that person should not hesitate to say sorry. The question is when that person realises that he has caused inconvenience? Due to lack such etiquettes and manners, there is tendency on the part of the people who are affected by such inconveniences that this world has senseless persons.

Yeah. I have come across many who find it difficult to say sorry. Its not just saying the word. But you have to truly mean it and accept that you are wrong which is the difficult part. I personally think one should be very open minded to do this.
