How often do you allow your kids to watch TV or play video games?

I hear people talking all the time about how much TV they let their kids watch. How much is too much? Do you limit this time for your kids? We have started to limit the amount of time our son plays video games because he will play all day long if no one tells him to turn it off.

I honestly don't know how much too much is but my 2 1/2 year old watches a few of his shows every day if he doesn't have activities or preschool. No video games yet.

My son wasn't playing video games when he was 2 either. Keep him from them as long as you can. They are addictive, even for adults. LOL

Time varries. Children have things they have to do and placesto be. When the havenoobligations they can watch TV, Read, Work on Comuter, visitwith friends. when the children were younger the TV and computer were locatedwhere we could monitor them.

Ours is in our family room so that we can monitor them. This is important to me too. It will probably be even more important as they get older and explore more on the internet.

It is only proper that we limit the time our children spend on video games otherwise, their social life is totally sacrificed. We do not want to have grown ups who cannot relate with their peers. That will make them ill adjusted individuals who might become a burden to society, rather than rendering service therein.
