My Friend is Turning 50

I am not close to your friend so I am not sure what "gag gift" would be suitable but it would be wise if you want to follow the theme. all you need is disguise your real gift into theme. I am confuse , it say "old man" on the cake but your mention "ladies" So I gonna assume that it is a women. you can try buy her a perfume (example) and disguise it as a plane. you can make the plane out of the cardboard and I do believe that you are creative enough to pull it off. As for the "gag gift" you could try book if she like to read. The real gag is the title of the book such as "karma sutra for elderly" or "karma sutra". I personally think that it would be "gag" enough but if you think it is not appropriate then scrap the idea. Check out Spencer's Gifts -- they have an entire section for "Over the Hill" themed gifts. I got my Mom a bottle of "Senility Pills" when she turned 50. Of course, they were really jelly beans, but she got a good laugh out of it!
