What do you do to prevent colds?

I have gotten SO many colds this year! I know it's just because it's my first year of teaching, and I am catching every germ that walks through my classroom door. Besides that Airborne medicine (which is disgusting), what does everyone do to prevent getting so many colds during the winter season?

Well with teaching its probably more likely to get colds since you are around so many people in a small environment that day. Try to sanitize everything you can! And I always keep hand sanitizer on me just because ya never know right? Lol it sounds silly but it helps. Keep up on your vitamin C also, that helps fights colds. And drink lots of water!

I've just started taking vitamins. I'm not a big fan of them, but I'm less of a fan of colds, so I'll deal. I'm a germ-x freak. I have my own pump bottle that I don't allow the kids to use because they usually sneeze into their right hand, then use their right hand to pump out the germ-x. SICK.

I don't tend to suffer with colds or flus, because I go to the gym 5 times a week, any germs or bugs I sweat out of my system through 90 minute sessions, on the treadmill, weight training and boxing! I also have home recipes from my mum, like menthol crystals when you have a blocked nose, or a hot toddy to drive the bugs away! Exercise is a great way of keeping away flus and colds in the winter.

I wash my hands and try to keep people taht are sick from touching my stuff or breathing on me. Lots of fluids, vitamin C, and trying to make sure I stay warm and don't get too wet. I've been pretty successful so far this year.
