Hi Cowboy. There are some other topics about the star and the number inside it posted here at mylot. I'm not sure if you know how to navigate around the site to find such posts yet. I'm still learning too. They say the star is your mylot reputation. It depends on the quality ans the quanity of your posts as to how people rate you gives you the number and star color. I'm not real sure though.
